Restore Facial Volume and Support Collagen in Albuquerque

Radiesse® in Albuquerque can help soften facial wrinkles, restore lost volume, and improve facial contours while supporting your skin’s natural collagen production. Unlike traditional hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, Radiesse® is made with calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a gel carrier. This injectable treatment provides immediate volume correction while stimulating collagen and elastin production over time, helping improve skin firmness and overall appearance. Whether you want to soften deeper facial folds, enhance jawline definition, or address volume loss in your hands, Radiesse® can be incorporated into a personalized aesthetic treatment plan.

How Radiesse® Injections Work and What to Expect

Products We Use
‍

Radiesse® is a calcium hydroxylapatite-based injectable that provides immediate structural support and stimulates the body's production of collagen and elastin over time. The gel carrier helps restore volume after injection, while the CaHA microspheres support the skin's natural regenerative processes as the gel is gradually absorbed.
‍
Radiesse® and Radiesse® (+) dermal fillers are formulated for specific treatment needs. Depending on the product and treatment area, they may be used to soften facial wrinkles and folds, improve jawline contour, or address volume loss in the hands. A diluted formulation may also be used for certain décolleté concerns. We will determine the appropriate product and technique based on your anatomy, treatment goals, and the product's approved indications.

Radiesse® FAQs

01

What Makes Radiesse® Different from Other Dermal Fillers?

Radiesse® differs from hyaluronic acid fillers because it uses calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres rather than hyaluronic acid. It provides immediate volume correction and supports collagen and elastin production over time. Hyaluronic acid fillers are often selected for their flexibility in treating different facial areas, while Radiesse® may be particularly useful when structural support, contour, and longer-term skin quality improvements are priorities. We can help you compare your options and select the treatment best suited to your goals.

02

What Areas Can Radiesse® Treat?

Radiesse® may be used to address moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, including nasolabial folds, as well as volume loss in the backs of the hands. Radiesse® (+) can improve moderate to severe loss of jawline contour in appropriate adult patients. A diluted formulation may be used to improve the appearance of certain décolleté wrinkles. Treatment areas depend on the specific product, approved indications, and your provider's assessment. Radiesse® is not intended for use in the lips.

03

Does Radiesse® Stimulate Collagen Production?

Yes. Radiesse® provides immediate correction while supporting the body's production of collagen and elastin. These proteins help maintain skin structure, firmness, and elasticity. As the gel carrier is gradually absorbed, the treatment can continue to support improvements in skin quality. Individual results vary, and collagen stimulation does not guarantee a specific degree of tightening or rejuvenation.

04

How Long Do Radiesse® Results Last?

Radiesse® results vary based on the treatment area, amount of product used, injection technique, and individual factors. Results may last a year or longer, with some patients experiencing benefits for up to two years. Longevity from Radiesse® filler is not guaranteed, and maintenance treatments may be recommended to help preserve your results. We can explain what to expect based on your personalized treatment plan.

05

Is There Downtime After Radiesse® Treatment?

Most patients can return to many everyday activities shortly after Radiesse® injections. However, temporary swelling, redness, bruising, tenderness, or discomfort may occur at the injection site. Recovery from Radiesse® filler varies depending on the treatment area and individual response. We will review aftercare instructions and explain when you can safely resume specific activities.

06

Who Is Not a Candidate for Radiesse®?

Radiesse® may not be appropriate for everyone. Treatment is contraindicated for people with a known hypersensitivity to its components or a history of severe allergies. Treatment should be postponed if there is an active infection or inflammation in or near the intended injection site. Certain medical conditions, bleeding disorders, or a history of problematic scarring may also affect eligibility. Radiesse® is generally not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding because safety has not been established. Radiesse® (+) also contains lidocaine, which introduces additional considerations for patients with lidocaine allergies. Your provider will review your medical history and assess whether treatment is appropriate for you.

Complementary Options at Western Dermatology Consultants

Radiesse® filler can be part of a broader aesthetic treatment plan for patients who want to address multiple signs of facial aging. Neuromodulators such as Botox® and Dysport® temporarily relax targeted facial muscles to soften expression lines, while injectable fillers restore volume and improve the appearance of wrinkles and folds. Combining treatments may help address different concerns while maintaining balanced, natural-looking results.

Western Dermatology Consultants also offers lip injections, cheek filler, and jawline contouring to help patients enhance other facial features. Restylane® Kysse can improve lip shape, hydration, and definition. Cheek filler can restore midface volume and enhance cheekbone definition, while appropriate jawline contouring and chin filler treatments can add structure to the lower face. We also offer the RHA® collection of hyaluronic acid fillers for patients who are seeking the most subtle natural-looking results. We can help determine which options complement Radiesse® and align with your overall aesthetic goals.
